I have always been a bit skeptical of “yarn” style indicators so
when I recently received samples of the “See It Strike Indicators” I thought
that these would never compare to my collection of balsa type indicators. After careful thought I feel there is a time
and a place for each kind of indicator.
Now that the steelhead have headed back to the big lake, its time to
concentrate on trout under more comfortable fishing conditions. These indicators are perfect for probing the
shallower runs and pockets that trout inhabit during the warmer months of the
year. Try them with your favorite
bead-head nymph before the evening hatch.
Both styles are available in a variety of colors and slip on and off the
leader quite easily, without having to cut off your fly like the peg-on
indicators. For more information, visit
their web site at www.strikeindicators.com.
